Trip Suggestions
The Esplendor Resort
or the Cowboy guides will take you back
to the Tucson airport if you are flying out the
evening we return from the trail. If you like would
like to stay an additional night, arrangements
can be made for you to stay at the Esplendor
Resort at Rio Rico or a hotel near the airport,
at your own cost. If you need help
with these arrangements let us know in advance.
Gratuities
The cost of
the trip does
not include gratuities to staff. Tipping is optional
and a personal
decision on your part, but is appreciated. |

Tips for Packing
The following is a packing suggestion list
of everything you will need to be comfortable. Because the weather
can be unpredictable, be prepared for anything. Use the layer system
of clothing - where
items can be added or taken off if the temperature changes (even
in the warmer months it is still cool in the mornings and evenings).
Bag #1 - Suitcase or Duffel Bag
(brought to camp by truck)
- Passport (to enter Mexico)
- Warm jacket or parka (a must for winter
months)
- Sweater or sweatshirt & sweatpants
- Jeans (tight fitting are best for riding
to prevent saddle sores)
- Shirts, t-shirts and cowboy/girl shirts
(long & short sleeve for layering)
- Boot socks or heavy wool or cotton socks
(3 or 4 pair)
- Toiletries - toothbrush, handy wipes,
soap, shaving kit, etc.
- Medications - please be sure to notify
RTW of any special needs
Optional Items:
- Cocktail liquor, beer or wine (can be
purchased locally, 21+ only!)
- Books, magazines
Bag #2 - Saddle bag/Cantle bag
(provided by the outfitter)
Items
to bring during the day while on the trail:
- Camera with extra film
- Hat with brim, tie-strap is recommended
- Gloves, Sunglasses, Sunscreen & Lip
Balm
- 2 Small water bottle or canteen
